## What’s Included in the Free Plan?

The Free plan is robust. It grants you access to a single Workspace with **1 Creator Seat** (Admin), allowing you to build and edit as much content as you need.

Here is the complete breakdown of features included:

* **Unlimited course views:** Share your content with as many people as you like.
* **Connect your docs:** Connect directly with your **OneDrive** and **Google Drive** to pull in resources.

* **Transform content:** Transform a document (PDF, Doc) into a course.
* **Generate from a prompt:** Create a full course structure from a simple text description and some guided questions.

## Screens—what are they?

Similar to slides in PowerPoint, "screens" are the individual pieces of content in your course. The Free plan includes all 11 screen types, just like our other plans. What you see in the builder is exactly what the viewer sees.

**The Available Screen Types:**

* **Text and Image:** Combines text with images to provide visual context.
* **Video:** Embeds content from YouTube, Vimeo, or Loom. The only limitation here is that if you’d like to upload videos directly to Coassemble, you will need our Team plan or above. 
* **Slideshow:** Displays a gallery of images (great for product ranges).
* **Document:** Embeds downloadable files (PDFs, worksheets) for learners to save.
* **Embed:** Integrates third-party tools like surveys or forms.
* **Accordion:** Uses collapsible menus to organize heavy text (like FAQs).
* **Process:** Guides the viewer through steps, timelines, or workflows.
* **Flashcards:** Interactive flip-cards for memorization/active recall.
* **Checklist:** A simple list of points or tasks.
* **Hotspot:** Interactive images where viewers click areas to reveal details.
* **Quiz:** Tests learner understanding (Note: You cannot enforce a passing grade on the Free plan).

## Insights

Because learners access the course via a public link, the data is anonymized. You cannot see *who* viewed the course, but you can see *how* the course is performing across the board.

**What you can see:**

* **Course views:** Total number of times the course was opened.
* **Progression funnel:** Visual analysis of where learners drop off.
* **Completion rates:** The percentage of users who finish the course.
* **Sentiment:** Collection of learner feedback/ratings on the content.
* **Download reports:** Export the aggregate data.

**What you cannot see (Limitations):**

* **No individual usage:** You cannot track specific learners (e.g., "jane@gmail.com").
* **No SCORM Usage:** While you can export SCORM files, you cannot view SCORM usage data inside Coassemble on the Free plan.

## When do I need to upgrade?

The Free plan is designed for sharing knowledge freely. However, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan if your training requires strict accountability, advanced tracking, or enterprise export capabilities.

### Upgrade to the Team Plan if:


1. **You need up to 5 creators:** Our Team plan gives you access to 5 creators within your Workspace. 
2. **You need individual tracking:** You need to know exactly *who* completed the course (not just how many people).
3. **You need passing grades:** You need to enforce a pass/fail rate on quizzes (e.g., must score 80% to pass).
4. **You need to limit attempts:** You want to stop a learner from retaking a quiz multiple times.
5. **You need enforced video:** You want to prevent learners from skipping through videos.
6. **You need more AI Narration:** You require more than 100,000 tokens or want access to **premium voices**.
7. **You need to view SCORM Usage:** You want access to analytics for your exported SCORM files.

**Upgrade to the Enterprise Plan if:**


1. **You need Standalone SCORM:** The Free plan includes *Dynamic SCORM* (which updates automatically but requires an internet connection). If you need *Standalone SCORM* (where the content is fully contained in the download for offline or high-security use), you must be on the Enterprise plan.
2. **You need to embed learning and access data via the API:** Reach out to our team to discuss options.
3. **You need access to custom billing, security docs, priority support or a custom MSA**: Team is a self-serve plan. If you require custom billing requirements, please speak to our team.
4. **You require multiple workspaces or greater than 5 creators:** Our Enterprise plan allows for custom arrangements; speak to our team. 
5. **You need to localize courses with Translations.**
