## Overview

SCORM usage insights help you understand how learners are engaging with a course **after it has been exported and hosted as a SCORM package** in an LMS. Use these insights to track unique views, hosting locations, and drill down into unique usage over a selected time range.

## How do I access the insights for my course?

### Step 1: Open the Insights modal


1. Navigate to **Courses** and locate the course you want to review (from your dashboard/folder or course list).
2. Click **Insights** on the course card (underneath the course title).

By default, when opening the Insights modal, you’ll land on the **Link insights** tab.

### Step 2: Navigate to the **SCORM Usage** tab

In the Insights modal, select **SCORM Usage** from the left-hand menu.

## Filter SCORM usage by date range

All SCORM usage metrics are shown for a specific time period.


1. Open the date range filter/dropdown (by default this is often set to a recent period, such as the last 7 days).
2. Select a different range (for example **All time** or a custom range).
3. The SCORM usage charts and tables will update automatically to reflect the selected period.

## What insights are available?

There are 2 key sections available for analysing SCORM usage for a course.

### Views and host location information

For courses exported as SCORM you can see:

* The number of **unique views** of your SCORM object (often shown as a **Viewers** graph over time).
* The number of **unique locations** your SCORM object is hosted on.

### Unique usage

You can also drill down into **Unique usage**, which is particularly useful if you charge per unique access.

This table provides a detailed list of individual viewers and may include information such as:

* The date/time of their **first access**
* Their **access location**

Personally identifiable information (PII) is generalized in this view.

## Close the Insights modal

When you’ve finished reviewing the analytics, click the **X** in the top-right corner to close the Insights modal.
