Guide to pricing models for Coassemble Embed and key competitor benchmarks

How is course authoring priced across the market?

The pricing models competitors use, current published figures, and what that means when you set your own price.

You set your own pricing for the Coassemble capability you deliver to your customers. This page gives you the market context to price against: how competing authoring tools charge, and what they publish.

The three pricing models you'll come up against

  • Per-author licence (enterprise authoring suites). Platforms like Articulate and iSpring charge per creator, per year. Cost scales with how many people author, which is what stops authoring spreading beyond a core L&D team.
  • Subscription with distribution bundled (all-in-one course platforms). Tools like LearnWorlds and Chameleon Creator sell monthly or annual subscriptions that bundle authoring with delivery, storefronts and marketing. Some add per-enrollment fees on entry tiers.
  • Freemium entry, quoted enterprise (microlearning apps). Platforms like 7taps offer a free or low-cost entry point, then move to quoted pricing for anything at organisational scale.

Published competitor pricing

All figures below were taken from each vendor's own pricing page and checked on 28 August 2026. None of the vendors publish a last-updated date, so treat these as a point-in-time snapshot and re-check before quoting them in a deal.

VendorPublished priceModel
Articulate 360 AIUSD 1,749 per user per year (Teams), USD 1,449 (Personal)Per author, per year
iSpring SuiteUSD 970 per author per year. Suite AI USD 1,290, Cloud AI USD 720Per author, per year
Chameleon CreatorUSD 840 per year solo. USD 1,440 per user per year for teams, minimum USD 2,880Per author, per year
EasygeneratorEUR 1,299 per year for one author (Pro). EUR 6,495 per year from five authors (Team)Per author, bundled above one seat
LearnWorldsUSD 24 per month annually (Starter) plus USD 5 per paid enrollment. USD 79 (Pro Trainer) and USD 249 (Learning Center) per month annually, no enrollment feeSubscription, plus enrollment fees at entry
7tapsFree tier. Starter USD 4,995 per year, annual onlyFreemium, then flat annual

What isn't published

Several top tiers are quote-only, so don't put a number against them:

  • Articulate 360 Standard
  • 7taps Enterprise
  • Chameleon Creator Enterprise
  • LearnWorlds Corporate
  • Easygenerator Enterprise

Articulate also lists add-ons separately: localisation from USD 5,000 per year, and Reach Pro from USD 3,600 for 1,200 active learners per year.

A note on currency: every figure above is in the currency the vendor publishes. Articulate, iSpring, Chameleon, LearnWorlds and 7taps publish in USD, Easygenerator defaults to EUR. Converting them into one currency means carrying an exchange rate you then have to maintain, so quote each in its published form.

What customers can see of Coassemble pricing

Coassemble's current plans are Sandbox, Build, Scale and Partner. Sandbox is the free plan and the entry point, and it self-provisions from coassemble.com/pricing, so that is the one thing a customer can set up on their own. There's no self-serve checkout beyond it: everything above Sandbox is sized in a conversation, so a customer researching you won't find a per-seat number to anchor against.

Two things worth knowing when you position your own price:

  • Creators are unlimited on every plan. There's no per-author charge, so a customer adding authors doesn't increase what you pay.
  • Usage is measured in recipients, not seats. Identified and Anonymous Recipient allowances are committed and sized to your agreement, so your cost tracks how many people you reach rather than how many people build.

The takeaway for partners

Competitors overwhelmingly tie authoring cost to per-seat licences or bundled ecosystems, and both drive total cost of ownership up as a customer's team grows. Because you aren't paying per author and you set your own price, you can pick a model that fits your product rather than inheriting someone else's. The strongest position in most deals is that authoring can spread across a customer's whole organisation without the price moving.
