We’ve recently introduced the **Brand kit**, a powerful suite of tools designed to help teams maintain a consistent look and feel across their training. While these advanced branding features are part of our premium plans, we want to ensure you understand how this update affects your experience on the Free plan, particularly in relation to course themes. 

### New courses and presets

For users on our Free plan, the primary change relates to course themes. 

* **Existing courses:** Any courses you have already built will keep their current course theme. This update will not automatically change the look of your published content.
* **New courses:** Any new courses created from today onwards will automatically use our professional **Coassemble presets**. These presets are designed by our team to ensure your content looks clean and professional right out of the box. You will not be able to apply custom colours or fonts to any new courses in your workspace. 

### Managing themes on the Free plan

Because custom themes are now a premium feature, there are a few important things to keep in mind when managing your course appearance:

* **Switching to Presets:** You can choose to switch an existing course to a **Coassemble preset** theme.
* **The "Publish" Rule:** If you switch an existing course to a preset theme and click **Publish**, you will not be able to revert back to your previous custom theme. 
* **Editing Themes:** To create a fully custom theme or edit specific brand assets (like colors and logos across the workspace), you will need to upgrade your workspace to a paid plan.
