## Creating folders

There are two ways to create a folder. 

**Select ‘New folder’ at the top of your screen**

You will then be prompted to name the folder, and select and icon colour. Once you have entered the folder name, you can click ‘Create folder’ and you will see your folder in your workspace. 

**Select the course, then create the folder**

You can also select a course, then create the folder. To do this, hover your mouse over a course until an empty box appears in the left hand corner. Click this box to select the course.

After selecting a course, a toolbar will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click the **New folder** button to reveal a modal where you can give your folder a name and a unique color you can use to identify the folder.

Once you're done, click **Create folder**. 


## Renaming folders

To rename a folder, click into the folder from your dashboard. Hover over the folder name, and click into it to edit the text. You can change the folder color by clicking the folder icon, and selecting a new color.


## Moving courses to folders

A course can be moved from the dashboard to a folder, and from a folder to another folder. There are two ways to move a course to a folder. You can click and drag it into the folder, or you can select the checkbox in the top left corner and then click ‘Move’. To do the second option, hover your mouse over a course until an empty box appears in the left hand corner. Click this box to select the course. To move multiple courses, simply click the boxes on any additional courses you want to move.

Once you've selected your courses, click the **Move** button from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to reveal a modal with a list of your folders. Select the folder you want to move your courses to and click **Move**.


## **Removing courses from folders**

To remove courses from folders, select the courses you want to remove, and click the **Move** button on the toolbar at the bottom screen. From this modal select the **Dashboard** option and click **Move**. This will remove your courses from the folder, and place them back onto your dashboard.


## **Deleting folders**

When you delete a folder, it will automatically delete all of the courses inside it. If you don't want to delete the courses, you will need to remove them from the folder first.


To delete a folder, click the ellipsis **(...)** under the folder card and select **Delete** to reveal a confirmation modal. To confirm you want to delete the folder, click the **Delete** button on the modal.
