# How do I change or reset my password?

Keeping your account secure is a top priority. Whether you want to update your current password for security reasons or you've been locked out of your account, follow the steps below to manage your login credentials.

## Change your password from within your account

If you are already logged in and want to update your password, you can do so through your profile settings:


1. Click on your **profile image** in the top right corner of the screen.
2. Select **Edit profile** from the dropdown menu (alternatively, you can go to **Settings** and then select **Edit profile**).
3. Locate the password section on the edit page.
4. Enter your **Current password**.
5. Enter your **New password**, then type it again in the confirmation field to ensure it is correct.
6. Click **Save changes** to apply your changes.

## Reset a forgotten password

If you are unable to log in because you have forgotten your password, you can trigger a reset link from the login screen:


1. Navigate to the Coassemble login page.
2. Select **I am a returning user**.
3. Enter your **email address** and click **Continue**.
4. Click the **Forgot password?** link located underneath the **Login** button.
5. Re-enter your **email address** when prompted.
6. Click **Send reset link**.

Check your inbox for an email containing a secure link to create a new password. If you don't see it within a few minutes, be sure to check your spam or junk folder. **Note:** For security purposes, reset links expire after a certain period. If the link doesn't work, simply follow the \"Forgot password\" steps again to receive a new one.

## Complete the password reset

Once you receive your password reset email, follow these steps:


1. Click the secure link in the email to open the **Reset your password** page.
2. Create a new password that is at least eight characters long.
3. Confirm the new password by re-typing it in the confirmation field.
4. Click **Reset password** to save your new credentials and regain access to your account.

By following these steps, you can easily reset your password—either by changing it from within your account or using a password reset link if you've forgotten it.
