**Store and manage your images (and other media) in a central location with the Asset library.**

The **Asset library** (previously the **Image library**) makes it easy to save and manage your assets in one place when building your courses. This is especially useful for storing branded photography, graphics, and other reusable media across multiple courses.

It’s important to note that any image you upload to a course, or any image that you use from Unsplash or GIPHY will be automatically added to this repository.

## Overview

From the main view, you can:

* View your uploaded assets.
* Upload new files.
* Search for specific assets.
* Edit details for individual files.

## How do I access the Asset library?

**Step 1:** Navigate to **Brand kit** on the lefthand side of your screen.

**Step 2:** Select **Asset library** (previously **Image library**).

**Step 3:** Select **Upload files** and locate your files on your device. You can upload multiple files at once.

## How do I edit image details (title, tags, and alt text)?


1. Find the image you want to edit in the **Asset library**.
2. Click the **three dots** icon in the top right corner of the image card.
3. Select **Edit** to open the image details.
4. **Edit title**: Update the name of the image.
5. **Add tags**: Enter relevant tags to improve searchability within the library.
6. **Alt text**: Provide a text description in the **Alt text** field (important for accessibility and screen readers).
7. Save your changes to return to the library.

## What are the other benefits of the Asset library?

* You can add a title and tags to help when searching for assets, or for recommended assets.
* You can add default alt text (for images), so that you don’t need to do this every time it is used.

## How do I delete images from my Asset library?

If you’d like to delete a single image, hover over the image and select the three dots. You can then click **Delete**.

If you’re looking to delete multiple images, hover over each image and tick the unmarked checkbox that appears over your image. Once you have selected all the images you’d like to delete, select **Delete** in the bottom right of your screen.

Before permanently deleting your images, you will be presented with a warning message. Select **Delete** again to permanently delete the image from your library. *Warning: this action cannot be reversed.*

## What image formats are supported?

We support most popular image file types, including: JPEG, GIF, PNG, and SVG.
